It’s never too early or too late to start…
Happy 2025! It feels so much is going on already in this new year, that it can be hard to focus on our well being simultaneously. But our prioritizing health and fitness is vital to helping us become more resilient and manage stress, balance hormones, and even improve our mood and sleep. Who wouldn’t want that?
I get it, change is hard, our brain works actively to help us prevent that. Starting something new like a nutrition goal, or starting to exercise is also very daunting. But I promise you, starting is the hardest part. So I give myself the compassion to start in a non-lofty way, perhaps just 10min of exercise per day to start, or halving the sugar or sweetener in my hot beverages.
What these changes are in fact atomic habits, as described by author James Clear of the best-selling book “Atomic Habits”. When we break down a big goal into many tiny individual bite sized tasks, it becomes so much easier to complete small tasks without too much mental push back. Over time, these atomic habits can snowball into real change, and transform our lives. I’d highly recommend this book, and have purchased it for some previous clients.
